The CrockPot — a Summer Super Star

I don’t know about you, but where I live the summers are hot. Really hot. Like, I don’t want to turn on the oven or stove hot. But I still like to have cooked food for dinner so here’s what I do — I use my CrockPot! It doesn’t heat up the house and my kitchen smells really good when I get home. All we have to do is get out some dishes and dinner is good to go.  That’s a win in my book!

This is a really bad picture of my CrockPot.

In an effort to expand my CrockPot horizons, here’s some things I’ve found from around the web that just might be making it into my kitchen.  (Thank You Pinterest!)

Because I’m trying to stick with my Primal lifestyle, here’s a list that I’m going to be mining for recipe ideas all summer!

nourishingjoy.com CrockPot

I’ve looked over a few of the recipes on the list and they look fantastic!  Thanks, nourishingjoy.com

Some of these recipes could easily be adapted to be Primal/Paleo/Low Carb.  Others, not so much.

thefrugalgirls.com CrockPot

A HUGE list of links to a lot of good looking Crock Pot Recipes from thefrugalgirls.com

momfabulous.com CrockPot

Another list (with some overlap), this time from momfabulous.com.  Once again, some of these are easily converted to fit a primal/paleo/low carb lifestyle.

So, I hope you enjoy browsing these pages as much as I have.  It’s going to take me until next summer to try them all!  I’ll let you know if I find some real winners.  Now to decide which to try first — we need dinner tomorrow!
